Training on using software for energy efficiency monitoring

Day II of the Energy Efficiency Week
The Energy Efficiency Week in the Municipality of Bitola continued with the Training for using software for energy efficiency monitoring.
The training was held in the Cultural Information Center – Kino Manaki, Shirok Sokak, Bitola on Tuesday 31.08.2021 from 11:00 to 14:30, according to the planned agenda in the invitation for the event, without changes. The number of registered participants was 21.
The training was intended for the employees in the Municipality of Bitola, in the public institutions under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Bitola (schools, kindergartens, municipal public enterprises, etc.).
At the beginning of the training, introductory remarks were given by Goran Nedelkov, B.Sc. mash. eng. from the Municipality of Bitola. Goran Nedelkov referred to the importance of this software and the changes it should bring in monitoring energy costs in buildings owned by the Municipality of Bitola. Mr. Nedelkov also mentioned that it is expected that this software will be adopted by the management of the Municipality of Bitola as mandatory when submitting reports to institutions under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Bitola on energy costs in facilities under their jurisdiction, owned by the Municipality of Bitola. .
The software (web platform) for monitoring and evaluation of energy efficiency of buildings is presented by prof. Dr. Igor Nedelkovski from the GAUS Institute – Bitola who developed the software / platform. In the introductory presentation prof. Nedelkovski presented the structure of the platform, its purpose and goals.
In the second session prof. Igor Nedelkovski described step by step the work with the platform for assessment of energy efficiency of buildings.
The third session was designed for questions and answers, as well as hands-on practice. Most of the participants in the training got involved with their questions about the use of the platform. Prof. Nedelkovski answered the questions through practical examples from the work of the platform. Interested attendees also had the opportunity to test the platform.
The general conclusion was that the developed software – web platform for monitoring and assessment of energy efficiency of buildings is very easy to use. Anyone (regardless of level and type of education) who knows how to use a computer and some office software to work with spreadsheets (for example Microsoft Excel) will be able to use it. The importance for the regular input of data on energy costs by the institutions under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Bitola was emphasized. The importance of regular sending of data (text, photos, etc.) to the municipality for the reconstruction of the facilities used by those institutions was also emphasized, and then that data is updated in the central database by the employees in the municipality.
The training ended around 14:30. Afterwards, all forum participants continued with a working lunch at Restaurant Korzo, Bitola, where discussions about using the software / platform continued.
The event is organized in accordance with the KOVID-19 protocol for organization of working meetings, trainings, courses and seminars. Vaccination or KOVID-19 certification was required to participate, as well as wearing a protective mask during the sessions.
