Key information about the project:
The BENEFIT project aims to address the increasing demand for improving the energy efficiency of public buildings and transforming them into nearly zero-energy or low-energy buildings. The main common cross-border challenges that the BENEFIT project is called to tackle include: (a) addressing the inadequacy of public administrations in this field, (b) developing reliable, efficient, and effective energy action plans for public buildings, (c) enhancing experience in implementing advanced energy modeling methodologies, (d) facilitating the collection of energy data for buildings, (e) enriching knowledge by applying specific methodological tools for categorizing buildings into typologies, and (f) developing a dedicated decision support system for energy retrofitting design.
The action is part of the project “Improving Energy Efficiency: Demonstration in Public Buildings” with the acronym “BENEFIT,” which is co-financed by the European Union and by National resources of Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020 under the Interreg IPA-CBC Program “Greece – FYROM 2014-2020.”
The BENEFIT project is co-funded by the European Union and national funds of the participating countries within the framework of the Interreg IPA-CBC Programme “Greece – Republic of North Macedonia”.
