Municipality of Bitola in cooperation with GAUSS Institute -Bitola, within the project Improvement of energy efficiency in buildings: Demonstration of public buildings – BENEFIT, funded by the European Union and the funds of the participating countries, from the INTERREG IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme “Greece – Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020”, in the days from 30.08 to 03.09.2021 organized Energy Efficiency Week in the Municipality of Bitola.

The week of energy efficiency started on 30.08 (Monday) with a round table – a forum on the topic: Trends in energy efficiency in the Republic of North Macedonia. The forum was open to all interested parties – experts, civil activists, citizens, etc.

On the second day of the Energy Efficiency Week, training was held on the use of software for monitoring energy efficiency in the buildings owned by the Municipality of Bitola, which will be mandatory in the work of institutions under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Bitola.

The third day we called it a Day of Ideas. On this day, a forum was organized – a day of ideas on the topic: Energy efficiency and the environment. The forum was open to all interested – experts, civil activists, citizens, etc. The participants of the forum were able to propose ideas for the implementation of energy efficiency measures that would lead to a cleaner environment in the Municipality of Bitola.

The fourth day was for the youngest. Children from primary schools through an interactive workshop will learn and create in the City Park in Bitola on the topic: What is energy efficiency?

The Energy Efficiency Week was closed on 03.09.2021 (Friday) by organizing an Open Day of the BENEFIT project and a presentation of the realized within the BENEFIT project to the public media and other stakeholders. A visit and presentation of the reconstruction of the Sports Hall “Boro Curlevski” in Bitola was realized.

Energy Efficiency Week was organized at several locations: Cultural Information Center – Kino Manaki, Sports Hall “Boro Curlevski”, City Park in Bitola.
