Day IV of the Energy Efficiency Week

The fourth day of the Energy Efficiency Week in the Municipality of Bitola was dedicated to the youngest – students from primary schools and kindergartens. Within this day, the youngest got acquainted with what is energy efficiency, but also created on that topic. Through drawings they presented their understanding of the terms energy, energy efficiency etc.

The event Energy Efficiency and Youth was held in the City Park in Bitola (children’s playground with wooden toys), on Thursday 02.09.2021 from 17:00 to 20:00, according to the planned agenda in the invitation for the event, without changes. The number of registered participants (children and adults) was 41. In addition to the invited students with their teachers from several primary schools in Bitola, the event was joined by several children who are walking with their parents, grandparents through the city park at this time.

The event started with an introductory lesson by teacher Vesela Bogdanovic, an expert at the GAUS Institute. Ms. Bogdanovic vividly explained to the children present what interactive energy is and why it should be saved through interactive games.

Then the participants hung out and drew on the topic of energy and energy saving, i.e., energy efficiency.

The event ended with a presentation of children’s works, which were then awarded by the Municipality of Bitola with a set of promotional and educational materials from the project BENEFIT on the topic of energy efficiency. Children’s works are attached to this report.

The fourth day of the week of energy efficiency ended around 20:00 and continued with the socializing of children and adults with pizzas and juices, of course a lot of laughter, joy and children’s chatter.

The event is organized in accordance with KOVID-19 protocols for organization of teaching in nature.
